Patrickswell Festival - August 2014

The Patrickswell Community Council teamed up with Patrickswell GAA Club to present the Patrickswell Festival and Donkey National. On Friday August 29 at 7pm, the club grounds hosted the final of the Michael O'Brien Memorial Tournament. At 9pm, there was a mouse racing event in the Dark Horse.

Moving onto Saturday August 30, the festival was officially launched at 3pm in McSweeney's Farm. There were a myriad of events, including a Donkey National, Bucking Bronco, Wheel of Fortune, Tug of War, Dog Show, Pony Rides, Car Boot Sale, Cow Pat Grid, Photography Competition, Bouncy Castle, Face Painting and Sports Events. At 8pm on Saturday, the Cu Chulainn hosted a barbecue & music with announcement of the Donkey National & Cow Pat Grid winner, a Strongest Man competition and the presentation of the President's Prize golf outing by Gerry Ryan.

Sunday August 31 began energetically with the 5km Fun Run and Walk from the GAA Grounds at noon. The festival ended with a Pool Tournament and music at Punch's Bar at 6pm.
